Mactan Island Resorts guests " BEWARE "

Hello to all travelers who are coming to Cebu, Philippines and especially to any of the Wonderful Resorts on Mactan Island. Mactan Island offers some of the best, and most beautiful Resorts available anywhere in the Philippines. Great beaches, and great luxury almost at all our Mactan Island Resorts. I would recommend most any of them to travelers. BUT here is the part to be

BEWARE OF : Resorts will try to include packages with their rooms. Restaurants, shows, and other things that go on inside the resorts. They will for sure try to get you to spend all of your money and time inside the resorts. Of course with much higher fees. They also will not tell you about the many great things outside the resorts on Mactan Island, that are available. They of course want you to spend your money inside. They are many great restaurants, and bars, and events outside the resorts. They will tell you its not safe, or they is nothing to see, you will have to travel all the way to Cebu to have any kind of Entertainment. THIS IS NOT TRUE. They are lots to do on Mactan Island. From night life, to Cultural Centers, Restaurants, Discos, all very nice and safe. Most all resorts offer a Filipino Cultural Show. These shows are very short, and only contain small amount of dances from the Filipino Culture. They are also held inside a multi million dollar event hall, or a convention room. This does not come close to represent the Filipino Culture. If you like extravagant luxury, this would be the best choice for you. But if you want to see the " True Philippine Experience " with Native Building, Decorations, Native Dancers who have learned and mastered the art through their Cultural Experiences and teaching of their ancestors. ( Not a high price dance school) See Traditional BBQ Station, Native Decorations, Hand Made Guitars, participate right beside the dancers. Experience the hospitality and friendly ways. Handmade bamboo table and chairs, Native Filipino Foods still cooked over wood burning open Flames, served in Native Filipino Clay Pots, and on Banana Leaf Baskets. Plus., not cost you a big price. So to sum it up. The Resorts are great. But just don't get trapped inside with them telling you there is nothing to do, or any place to go on Mactan Island. Mactan Island has a wealth of great activities and things to do, which can make your experience here in The Philippines much richer, and more Cultural.
