Just like to thank everyone for the growing success of The Jungle Restaurant and Cultural Center. Now its time to give back.
THE FIRST ANNUAL JUNGLE ANGEL TREE
The Jungle Restaurant will start today Nov 23, 2009 accepting names and screening persons who think they would qualify for our Angel Tree. If qualifed their name will be posted on our Angel Tree or Our Family Board. All our Local and Foreign Customers will have the opportunity to Choose a Family or Child to Sponsor for Christmas.
Family's or Parents of Children wanting to be posted, it would be better if you could have a 2 x 2 picture of the child to be put on the Angel which the Customer will choose. Family Photos for the family wall would be nice also. But not a requirement. Anyone who would like to or knows someone who would like to be included in this please contact us here at The Jungle at 238 8641 or email us at thejunglecebu@yahoo.com
Each Customer will have the opportunity to look and choose from our Tree or Family Board a Angel or Family. They then will give a sponsor for that child or family for Christmas. All donations will be used strictly for food, clothing, toys, medicine for familys and children. No cash will be dispursed.
All donations are public and posted as given by our customers. The customer name who he choose and how much he sponsored will accompany each angel or Family.
All gifts and donations will be given out two days before Christmas.
This will be a Annual Event each year here at The Jungle.

Hello Jungle Fans. Sorry i have not been keeping you updated as much as i would like. Lot of great things happening here. Lot of new agency's coming online. Holding lot of B Day Parties, and just busy for a while. I am going to start posting more here soon. Just keep coming back and i will keep you updated on the new happenings here at The Jungle.

Mactan Island Resorts guests " BEWARE "
Hello to all travelers who are coming to Cebu, Philippines and especially to any of the Wonderful Resorts on Mactan Island. Mactan Island offers some of the best, and most beautiful Resorts available anywhere in the Philippines. Great beaches, and great luxury almost at all our Mactan Island Resorts. I would recommend most any of them to travelers. BUT here is the part to be
BEWARE OF : Resorts will try to include packages with their rooms. Restaurants, shows, and other things that go on inside the resorts. They will for sure try to get you to spend all of your money and time inside the resorts. Of course with much higher fees. They also will not tell you about the many great things outside the resorts on Mactan Island, that are available. They of course want you to spend your money inside. They are many great restaurants, and bars, and events outside the resorts. They will tell you its not safe, or they is nothing to see, you will have to travel all the way to Cebu to have any kind of Entertainment. THIS IS NOT TRUE. They are lots to do on Mactan Island. From night life, to Cultural Centers, Restaurants, Discos, all very nice and safe. Most all resorts offer a Filipino Cultural Show. These shows are very short, and only contain small amount of dances from the Filipino Culture. They are also held inside a multi million dollar event hall, or a convention room. This does not come close to represent the Filipino Culture. If you like extravagant luxury, this would be the best choice for you. But if you want to see the " True Philippine Experience " with Native Building, Decorations, Native Dancers who have learned and mastered the art through their Cultural Experiences and teaching of their ancestors. ( Not a high price dance school) See Traditional BBQ Station, Native Decorations, Hand Made Guitars, participate right beside the dancers. Experience the hospitality and friendly ways. Handmade bamboo table and chairs, Native Filipino Foods still cooked over wood burning open Flames, served in Native Filipino Clay Pots, and on Banana Leaf Baskets. Plus., not cost you a big price. So to sum it up. The Resorts are great. But just don't get trapped inside with them telling you there is nothing to do, or any place to go on Mactan Island. Mactan Island has a wealth of great activities and things to do, which can make your experience here in The Philippines much richer, and more Cultural.

Mission Statement of The Jungle Restaurant and Cultural Center
Always wanting to improve The Tourist Industry for The Philippines.
!!!!!!! THE JUNGLE RESTAURANT AND CULTURAL CENTER MISSION STATEMENT!!!!!!!!!
To showcase to the World and all the Travelers who come to Cebu to Experience the Philippines. We want to show the Wonderful and Amazing Culture of the Entire Philippines, bringing Dances from the Luzon Region, Mindiano, and Visaya's. Also to go beyond traditional Cultural Shows and expand the Entertainment and Skills and Traditions of the Filipino. We showcase not the normal seen Filipino Dances. We showcase the rarely seen, very old, and very exciting dances. The dances that compliment the ability and talents of the Filipino. Plus we go beyond and add in traditional dances that are rarely seen. The Sinulog --- which is only seen by travelers one time a year in Janauray. Now they can experience that dance here everynight. Along with the Magkaugnay -- A dance that bring the three regions of the Philippine together in unification, and shows they three styles and costumes, all at one time in one dance. Also we celebrate the Cebuano people by each night performing the famous, CEBU - CEBU.
Plus then The Jungle adds in Modern Dances from Famous Artist from all around the World. We want people to hear and be comfortable and see the Talent of the Filipino People dancing to interpatations of Songs of their countrys. Korea, Japan, USA, Tiwan, Mexcio, Hawaii, India, and many others.
They is still more. The Jungle gives also the opportunity for travlers who can not experience Boracay, and other Famous Islands;;;;; the chance to see it here. We have the most awesom Fire Dancers, Fire Eaters, Fire Ballers that Boracay is famous for. We have arts and crafts, and special items from Bohol, Bayantan, and other places in the Philippines. They all have different thoughts, ways, and beliefs. But one thing that is universal, no matter who you are in laughter and happiness. We bring cultures from all around the world together in one place, and by half way through our shows, everyone is brothers. Our foods are all served Native Filipino Style, and also some are cooked old fashion wood fire and steel pots.
